Why are we doing this?

We work with a lot of hospitality clients and want to support the industry that has supported us so much over the years. We want these businesses to stay afloat.

After seeing so many restaurants forced into a takeaway-only situation, we thought we’d help by creating a central place that was easy for people to load their takeaway offerings and allow users to have quick and easy access to the menus and phone numbers. Social media sharing is great but it doesn’t allow us to sort and classify these offerings. Delivery apps are convenient, however they come with pricey commissions which put a large dent in a business’s actual profits.

Of course, when things will eventually go back to normal and you may not need to use this anymore but let’s make the most of this situation and keep our restaurants open. Together we can get though this.

Is it FREE?

We built this site specifically as a free community resource to help communications in the covid-19 crisis. It will forever be free to use.

We’re a small creative studio called Monk. We had the means to create such a site so we took it upon ourselves to create something that might help the industry and the community.

What's with the name?

A hermit, or eremite (adjectival form: eremitic or hermitic), is a person who lives in seclusion from society.

Hermits through history have been champions of self isolation. If they can do it, so can we!

In a way we’ve all been forced into this type of lifestyle. Let’s be thankful though that we still have access to all this great food!

The site is very... Blue?
